This invention is about a well pumping unit with large open gear wheels. This particular one is because of energy savings and can be widely used for raw oil pumping equipment in the oilfields.
Technical background
Presently, the existing balance beam well pumping units used in the oilfields are mainly composed of balance beam, linkage, decelerator and balance blocks. All the units need huge starting power and have poor balance problems. So they are very energy-consuming. Most of recent developments or improvements in balance beam well pumping units were focused on the electric motors for energy savings. They may achieve some of energy saving goal but still have room for improvement. Now we offer this new invention.
Contents of the invention
In order to improve the efficiency of existing pumping system and to achieve the goal of energy savings, this invention took shape in a number of stages. It upgraded the structural principle, used large open gear wheels and small power driving motors, and adjusted the balance to reduce driving power, etc.
The invention solved the technical problems which included:
1. The balance beams are mounted to one end of the horse head on the supporting frame and the other end to the crossbeam;
2. The crossbeam is connected with the linkage and the linkage is linked to the cranks’ pins;
3. The cranks are mounted to the counter balance weight where the cranks and the open gear are coaxial.
4. The large open gears are engaged with the small gear on the output axis of the decelerator.
The installation is as followings: the drive mechanism such as large open gear, decelerator and small drive gear should be mounted on the square box and connected to the electric motor through the panel box, where the brake gear should also be installed and connected to the lower end of the horse head with the cable, suspension devices, the polished rod slip, and together with the underneath pumping unit.
After installation, the electric motor can be turned on to start. The electric motor drives the large open gear wheels through the small gear on the output axis of the decelerator, where it causes the coaxial crank to rotate and makes the balance beam to move up and down reciprocally. Thus this is the new oil pumping function. In this invention, it is straightforward in the structural design, efficient in energy savings, and does work well in mechanical balance.
The structural design of this invention is intended to match various existing types of balance beam well pumping units. The purpose is to achieve the goal of energy savings by replacing the old traditional decelerator’s one with this large open gear drive mechanism. The only thing is to mount it on the square box of the existing pumping units, and to connect the crank with the large open gear coaxially together.
The invention takes advantage of mini electric motor to drive this new well pumping unit. It was designed for easy operation and remarkable electricity savings.
